OK, WHO ORDERED THE SNOW??!!

First trip of 2008. Well, actually, this should have been our second trip of the year. We had a trip planned for May 11-13th, but it was still so cold that we cancelled it. So, what happens on this trip? It snows!
Yup, a little over an inch of snow fell overnight on Friday. We got up Saturday morning to a winter wonderland. Fortunately it didn’t last long. By noon it was pretty much gone. But, it’s nice to know that the furnace in the camper works real good!
Sakatah is a nice little park. We have site 36, just across from the camp hosts. It’s on a slight hill, so we ended-up using almost all of the blocks to level the front legs. We’ve never had to jack the camper up that much to make it level.

We did get a short hike in on Saturday, despite the weather. We explored the park and took a walk on one of the hiking trails. We counted three other campers, two of which were in tents. Brrrrr!!!.jpg)

Anyhow, it was nice just to be camping again. Of course, we talked about the day that we start doing this full time. The day is coming, but is still a few years away.
Next trip is in two weeks to Fall Lake National Forest. Here’s hoping it’s warm!
