Lake Elmo Park Reserve - Trip 3

Lake Elmo Park Reserve, what a great find this county park is! The campsite was terrific. We were right by a little lake with lots of space between us and the next site. To bad the weather didn’t cooperate. Saturday night was rainy then windy, but that didn’t stop us from having a campfire.

Mike’s mother drove in from Amery for an early Mother’s Day dinner. We’re headed to William O’Brien State Park next weekend and she hadn’t seen the camper yet so this was a great opportunity to get together. We grilled some steaks, had a little wine and then made a campfire.

To make it a complete family night, Mike’s sister and family stopped by on their way back from Stephanie’s basketball game in Eagan. It was a great ending to the day. We sat around the campfire and watched the stars come out.

Sunday was windy beyond belief. To windy and cold to do any bike riding, so we made a big pot of coffee, relaxed a bit and then started packing up.

Next weekend is William O’Brien State Park, our first full weekend trip.
